wow! the buzz about this action film from indonesia “the raid” proves it right. written and directed by welsh-born gareth evans who spent some time in the country previously making documentaries and i guess the rest is history..This is real triumph of indie filmmaking. great story, one location, set number of cast, minimal crew, back to back action, you just can’t loose. all the ingredients were there for a great film. it’s how movies should be made?! the buzz confirms that. it feels so good to see someone making it happen with barely nothing..but passion.
